Ice Day!

Katie had her first school day cancellation due to weather last Wednesday. I'd heard about Dallas ice storms, but this was the first one I'd experienced. What everyone had explained to me is that no one here knows how to drive in icy weather and that's why you want to stay off the roads. I didn't have a problem with that. And I had a cold, so it was a good excuse for Katie and I to stay home and do nothing. We watched the teens in our neighborhood sled down our ice covered street.

By the afternoon, most of the ice was gone and Katie had swim class. She's in a "big girl" swim class now, one with more swimming and fewer tchokes. She swam about 10 feet last week, very exciting to watch!
