Katie's first hike

After Shidoni and lunch at Tesuque Village Market (Peter's favorite place), we took Katie on her first hike. Alan suggested we tell her she was going to be an explorer like Dora and it worked. She loved it. We didn't go very far and it was pretty flat terrain, but I love that she hiked without complaint. I think one of the greatest gifts my parents gave me was a love of the outdoors (though for the most part the actual teaching was outsourced). I want to make sure that Katie loves the outdoors too.
