Happy July 4th!

Our neighborhood had a little parade for July 4th. We met at the neighborhood elementary school and walked around all decked out in our patriotic gear. We heard that the kids ride their bikes and Peter and Katie decorated her bike with streamers. And we even took Meadow.

What I really liked about the parade is the "small town" feel of such an event. When I was little, we used to march in the 4th of July parade in Teaneck (well it was me and my mom because my sisters were at camp). A little neighborhood parade is not the kind of thing you have in NYC. Of course of the people I knew there, I knew most for Templer Emanu-El Preschool and not the neighborhood.
