Freezer Smile

I'm writing this as Katie is in the other room. I love overhearing her conversations with herself. It is so amusing. She's doing her alphabet puzzle and saying, "this is an X." And looking at all the stuff in the room, "this is my book and this is my other book." And of course she's singing. Tonight's entertainment is Old MacDonald and Laurie Berkner's "I'm Me and You're You." This last song she sang to her doll "Baby." When people ask her what her baby's name is, she says "Baby."

I took this picture yesterday. Ania did Katie's hair in a beautiful updo bun. It was so cute and so grown-up looking. In the morning Ania took Katie to Hippo and Katie was in a very serious mood. Ania asked Katie if she left her smile at home. "Maybe your smile is in the crib? Is your smile under the couch?" Katie's response, "my smile's in the freezer."
