Then Katie went to ballet. Because it was her birthday, she got to be number 1 in the class and the all the girls got to sing her happy birthday. With prior permission, I brought in cupcakes for the class. Katie and I decorated them in the morning with pink icing and mini m&ms. The icing wasn't strawberry, just pink from food coloring. Katie was first a little disappointed with the m&ms because she was expecting "Minnie" m&ms, as in Minnie Mouse. She wanted Minnie's face on them. But she was happy once she got to help put them on the cupcakes, one for her, one for the cupcakes.
By the way, parents/caregivers aren't allowed in this ballet class so this is about the closest you get to seeing the action. Katie's teacher is amazing and the girls look so cute lined up in their leotards and tights.
