sick day

Katie woke up crying on Wednesday morning and said her head hurt. She felt warm so I took her temperature. She hasn't had many high fevers in her life, so I was pretty shocked to see it was 102.5. My daughter loves school so much that she cried when I told her she couldn't go. I only called the doctor because she said her ears hurt at night. Turns out her ears were fine, but she has strep - a first for her.

Here she is passed out with her puppies and Meadow. Meadow isn't usually allowed on this couch, but I made an exception because Katie didn't feel well. And of course after a Purple Cow chocolate milkshake, she felt better. I think Rachel laughed at me when I said we had to go out to buy a milkshake. I've never made one and we don't usually have ice cream in the house.
