Dancing for Oma

When people asked how my trip to NJ was, I tell them that Katie danced for Oma. I'm sure I wrote this somewhere on the blog, but the succession of things we take to visit Oma is so interesting. We're still in the tutu and ballet slipper phase. And honestly - I love it! Katie can practice her ballet and make up dances for Oma. Oma can watch and be entertained. And it's their relationship right now. Katie doesn't have the patience to sit and talk with Oma and Oma doesn't have the hearing to listen to Katie. It's really what they can give each other right now, in a "giving tree" kind of way. Oma appreciates attention and entertainment and Katie loves an audience.

Katie still loves to dance and take ballet. We bought this tutu in Santa Fe because it's a purple version of the one her friend Jamie gave her last year for her birthday. She loves them both so much and wears them for dress up or ballet class.
