Happy Hanukkah!

Katie got very into Hanukkah this year. The very first night she learned to say "Happy Hanukkah" so we, of course, had to call all her grandparents and aunts to wish them all a "Happy Hanukkah." Then she had a great time playing with her own Chanukiah (Menorah). Here she is doing just that. The set we bought also came with these wooden latkes and dreidl set. It was nice that each night I lit the real candles and she "lit" her candles.

On Christmas Eve I was on the phone with Aunt Debbie who asked if I was going to teach her to say "Merry Christmas." I thought that was reasonable. So I told her to tell Aunt Debbie "Merry Christmas" and Katie says "Happy Hanukkah." Posted by Picasa

It's so cute to see the kids get into Hanukkah. Emma got one of those musical menorahs. She was carrying it around calling it Nora. We didn't have the wooden latkes though. Finally a potato pancake that is low in calories!
