"I'm a woman"

Katie was using her monkey cup at dinner tonight. She said she loves monkeys and her monkey cup and I told her it's because she's a monkey.
"No I'm not monkey. I'm a people."
"People is plural, it's more than one. What do you think one is?"
"Woman. I'm a woman."
