Katie and Kona

This is the coat. This is the coat I saw and went crazy for looking for it in Katie's size and Katie's Grandma Nana ended up buying it for her Hanukkah. I loved it and now Katie loves it so much too that she named it - the coat's name is "Kona." Okay, I chose the Hawaiian associated spelling, Kona comes from "coat on" so it should probably be with a c, but oh well. Kona is my favorite color and as my mom says, if they had the coat in my size, I would have bought it for myself. So instead I had to buy it for Katie. There hasn't been any other thing for Katie that I felt I just "had to have." And I kind of think that this is one of the fun things about having a baby, especially a girl. I even bought it a size bigger so hopefully she can get 2 years out of it. And everyone on the street admires this coat, it's really funny that we can't get into an elevator without someone commenting about how cute it is on Katie.

Katie, as I think I explained before, loves playing dress up. So here she is one morning, still in her pajamas, dressing up in her "flower shoes" and Kona, and the new hat that Ania bought her for Hanukkah that matches the coral colored stitching in the coat. Posted by Picasa
