Swimming, Swimming
In Kevin's swimming pool... Yes, our building has a pool, but Kevin's is much more fun! There's no oppressive swim cap rule for absolutely everyone and no annual limit on the number of guests you can have. So here are Kevin, Erika, and Katie kicking on the side of the pool last week. They had a blast! Katie got to swim like both a fish and a turtle. And she kicked her legs well as I floated her through the water. But the highlight for Katie that she kept talking about the next day was the shower. For the first time, Katie loved the shower! There was a shower area by the pool that we rinsed the kids off in and they had a great time.
Katie continues to love to swim in the bathtub too. She didn't want to get out of it today. The cutest thing she did today was show that she knows her letters. The windows in Kevin's playroom face a side street that has a few garages and a big sign that says "PARK." Katie pointed to the sign today and said "Look Mommy, it's a K for me!" Despite being a city baby whooccasionally claims to be scared of cars, Katie is fascinated by watching the cars and trucks outside the playroom window. You'd think there weren't a huge room full of toys and play things the way she watches the buses and cars go by. Today she identified each by color, so proud of herself. "That's a silver car. That's a black car."
