We're going to the BEACH!

So I'm behind on blogging the Washington State pictures so here are some pictures from today's adventures As Katie kept saying in the car on the way there, "we're going to the BEACH!" Katie had a great time. If you ask her, she'll tell you that she went to the BEACH (her emphasis) with "my Rachel" and "my Donna." This reflects her shyness with men - Donna's husband Jon was there too. We had a really nice day. The waves were pretty rough, but Katie loved splashing in the shallow water. At one point she was shivering and her lips were turning blue and she didn't want to leave the water. "I want to stay in the water again!" she shouted.

But Katie also loves digging in the sand. It's a giant sandbox to her. Here's Katie and Donna burying her legs in the sand.

I have to say that Katie's very amusing. After we came back from the beach, we went out for dinner. In keeping with her running commentary style, Katie kept saying, "we're out for dinner!" Went to an Asian-fusion place and she made quite a mess with her Pad Thai. But being Katie, she loved it and loved eating and when we thought she'd had enough I told her that we were done. "We're not done. We're still eating" she said in response. But when they cleared the plates, Katie shouted, "We're done. We're done."
