"I'm going to the carousel!"

Sunday wasn't too cold for a NYC winter and we were looking for something to do. We decided to go to the carousel in Central Park. We took the subway to 66th St., and Katie, in her Katie way, befriended everyone on the train. "What is everyone doing on the subway Mama?" she asked. I explained that people may be going home or going out to lunch or to work or whatever people do on a Sunday. I suggested that she could be friendly and ask someone where they were going because it's a lot cuter coming from a little girl than a grown-up. She suddenly played shy and someone asked her where she was going. "I'm going to the carousel!"

In the park, Katie was so excited to get to the carousel. She got a little upset when Daddy went on with her and not Mommy, but she overcame that pretty quickly when she was whirling around and having fun on the white horse she picked out.
