Tutu Day
Katie had a very special last ballet class - it's called Tutu Day. Katie proudly talks about her ballet class being a "drop off class" so mommies aren't allowed to watch. At Tutu Day, we could all watch and we brought Nana and Papa and Aunt Lesley. Papa had some work to do in NYC and they coordinated their trip to coincide with Tutu Day. Katie had the best time showing off her ballet for everyone. For me, the best part was seeing what they do in the class so all of Katie's songs and positions make sense. She's very fond of "Two Little Bluebirds" if you know that one and "Mr. Lefty and Mrs. Righty."
The class did the fish dance again and then there was a feelings dance. Katie had to do everything with her friend Anna, and for the feelings dance they did a happy dance and a sad dance. That's very much Katie - she always wants both choices. And for the spring dance, she was sunshine (again, appropriate for Katie).
