November in Dallas

Our pool is too cold to go in, but Katie noticed the sprinklers came on this afternoon out front and she correctly guessed that they would come on in back shortly after. She was prepared - she quickly changed into her bathing suit.

Peter thinks it's unseasonably warm here. It doesn't matter. I'm enjoying it - I couldn't be happier in a t-shirt. The sprinklers came on because we had winter grass planted and it needs to be watered, so we are preparing for winter. I'm really looking forward to not having snow though I've heard that there can be some pretty bad ice storms.

Katie continues to be a little testy to us. This afternoon she started crying hysterically because I wasn't going to make miso cod for dinner (it needs time to marinate). We thought that was pretty funny.
