Hanging out in Santa Fe

We spent a lot of time hanging out in the house in Santa Fe. Ann bought some great toys, including her very favorite "cool toys" so she had a lot to keep her occupied. So nice to go on vacation and have toys when you get there! Katie ended up getting sick in Santa Fe, nothing too serious, just a cold and a low fever but because we were away and because we were flying, we took her to the doctor. So she wasn't on her best behavior for her grandparents, but at the same time to see her as she really is, she can't always be happy. Of course Katie is still one of the happiest toddlers people have ever met. She loved exploring the house in "Fe" and her Nana followed her everywhere. Nana even let her play dress up. Katie's very into shoes and was sure to point out all of Nana's shoes and differentiate between shoes and boots. If I tell her we're going out, she says to me "Mommy shoes on."

Here's a cute picture of Katie brushing Elmo's teeth. She loves to brush her teeth and loves Elmo so it's a natural progression to combine the too. She's even brushing Elmo's teeth with an Elmo toothbrush! On the plane she fed him milk too. The funny story about Elmo is that we left him at the house. Ann found him and called us immediately but we were already at the highway. Their flight to Dallas was later and they called us to board and there's Nana at the gate with Elmo!
