Rainy Day

It's a cold and rainy day for August in NYC. Here's Katie dressed in her raincoat and matching boots. She's so excited to wear her boots, she's known for wearing them around the house with shorts. Because of the rain, Katie and Ania are headed out to the children's museum. They are taking the bus which is always a fun adventure for Katie. Katie said she didn't want to go to the children's museum, she wants to go to the "Dora Museum." The children's museum has a whole floor devoted to Dora and we were looking at pictures of it from her birthday this morning. So I guess she just doesn't want to go to the usual exhibit. Katie's new thing is giving sequential instructions. "First we're going to the Dora Museum. Then we're going to the block museum." In the morning, her sequential narration goes something like this "First I'll get out of my crib. Then you'll change my diaper. Then I'll have breakfast. Then I'll get dressed. Then I'll play with my puzzle."
