Robin's my cousin
Katie and I had an improtu visit to Aunt Debbie and Robin on Sunday. Katie got to play with Robin in her backyard which was a lot of fun for them. Here's a pic of them in Robin's playhouse. If I remember correctly, this play house was being thrown out by one of Karen's neighbors and she called my mom to see if Debbie wanted it for Robin - isn't freecycling great when it comes to these big plastic things! Katie's only used to playhousese in playrooms - our playroom has one and Kevin's playroom has 3, so a playhouse in a backyard is a novelty. But then I realized that they get a lot more dirty in a backyard than an apartment playroom so even more upkeep of toys in suburbia... The cousins had fun playing together and it was nice way to spend a Sunday morning. Katie said, "my daddy's at work" to explain his absence. It gives a little insight to the way she thinks. If Daddy's not wtih me, he must be at work. Daddy was really home doing the laundry.
Katie's new adorable habit is singing. About a week ago we heard Katie singing all of "Row row row your boat." We figured that Ania must have taught her that song and she did. She's been singing the ABC song and Happy Birthday for a while, but her repetoire is quickly expanding. We have a bunch of books that show illustrations to children's songs. Those are her favorite now, so she joins me in "Down by the bay" and "The Wheels on the Bus."
