The Big Sandbox

We went to the beach on Sunday. Dallas is far from the ocean, so it was definitely a treat for the Dallas residing grandparents. They said the weekend before when we went to the beach that they also wanted to go to "The Big Sandbox." And going to the beach with Katie is fun because her enthusiasm for sand and water is pretty contageous. It was a little overcast when we got there and the water wasn't that pretty, but it turned bright and sunny and we all had a good time. Above is Katie dancing in the waves. Below are Katie and Lesley and Katie playing in the sand with Nana. Katie's been talking about the beach for 2 days now. "I went to beach with Lesley. I went to beach with Nana and Papa."
