Duck Ragu

I promise, this is not a food blog. I was just so proud of my efforts I had to share it. The duck ragu was delicious. But I have new respect for ducks. They are so fatty and yet so mobile.

All night Katie had been saying that she didn't want dinner, she wanted to eat our food. We kept telling her that we were eating late and she'd have some tomorrow. Well when we finally ate around 10 we invited her to join us because she wasn't sleeping. She gladly left her crib to come to the table. And she loved the duck! Here's the recipe if anyone wants. And no, we didn't make the pasta from scratch. After dinner, Katie stayed with us for the "special apples." No surprise, she loved that too.

Note: I didn't like the leftovers of this recipe, although I loved it when it was first made. I think there is too much wine in it and the leftovers reminded me of coq au vin. There's another recipe is very similar, with less wine, so I'd try this one next time.
