Katie sleeps on a plane!

Katie loves to travel, she's a good traveler, we have no complaints. One thing she is not good at, however, is sleeping while traveling. We've started to let Katie watch DVDs on the plane and once the DVD player is on, she doesn't want to turn it off (not a surprise, of course). But on Thursday, she actually fell asleep which was great so this is absolutely blogworthy. You see Katie got up at 6 am on Thursday morning, very excited to go to Dallas. We weren't planning to get her up for another hour so 6 was (and generally is) pretty painful for me (I have never been a morning person). So we had Katie in bed with us and I told her that we were waiting for the "7" to get up. At 6:37, she says to me, "Mommy, get up! There's the 7!"

Driving to the airport, Katie says to us, "Mommy, we have to call Nana and tell her we're coming." The afternoon before Katie told me "we have to pack. Nana's waiting for us."
