"Going to the park"

If you ask Katie now what her favorite things in Dallas were she'll tell you "going to the park and going to the museum and going to the store to buy "minttens." The day after Thanksgiving we went to the playground in Ann & Alan's neighborhood. Katie had a great time playing on all the different equipment. It was a little colder than we thought it would be and colder than in NY that day (thus the need to buy "minttens") so the rest of the family sat in the sunshine to warm up. But then I was also thinking that in Dallas, I'm sure all the playgrounds are in the shade for the summer.

The playground was pretty empty for a while and we chatted with a nice mom and her son there around Katie's age. Turns out that they went to A&A's temple. And I was thinking that maybe it's only New Yorkers go to the park when it's colder. Then Eli shows up with his family! Yes, another NYC kid in the playground.
