Fun Friday

We had a fun Friday. First we went to visit Oma. Then a trip to Target, then a nap, then Tot Shabbat, then dinner out.

I took this picture because I thought it was very cute that Oma and Katie had coordinated outfits. Unfortunately, our favorite nurse (Fe) just changed shifts so our visits to Oma are a little less fun. Katie recited all of the book Brown Bear to her and it was cute.

The amazing thing for Katie about going to a Tot Shabbat service is that she voluntarily left the house. As I've been mentioning on the blog, Katie is more hesitant to leave the house these days. She seems more likely to say, "I want to stay home and do nothing." This is especially true after her afternoon nap. She woke up a little early from her nap on Thursday and she actually decided that she wanted to go to a drop in class, that is she decided after 40 minutes trying to convince her to go. Turns out that she had a great time because 3 of her friends were there. So I think that it was a little lesson for her that if you leave the house, good things might happen.

I told her that we would see her friend Ariel at Tot Shabbat, but it turns out Ariel was sick, though his mom was there running the service. A little disappointed, but Katie enjoyed it, especially when Sara brought out the instruments. And then we met Daddy for dinner. I had asked Katie where she wanted to go to dinner. "I want to go to Gennaro," she told me. "Why?" I asked. "Because it's my favorite."

Now truthfully, Katie will very often say things are "her favorite" now, it's sort of her default answer, but it was cute. Here's Katie eating chocolate cake with Daddy. We got it with ice cream for her.
