Rotating friends

Ania pointed out today that Katie is very fair with her babies and stuffed animals. She doesn't play favorites very often and takes turns having special time with each one. I hadn't really thought of it this way, I thought of it more as she goes through phases of favorites, one gets all the attention for a while and then it's another's turn. Today was Grover's day. He got to have lunch with Katie and he got to take a nap with Katie. And puppies are exempt from the favorite category and they have their own hierarchy.

Katie was very busy tonight. She told me "I'm calling my cousin Robin back" on her cell phone and she was otherwise busy having a picnic, a tea party, and pretending to take a nap. "I'm pretending" is one of her favorite expressions.
