Meadow and Kobi

There aren't too many people who meet and become friends with people they meet in a restaurant.

It always amuses me to tell people how we became friends with Kobi and his family. The story is we were at a neighborhood sushi place that had just opened at the family at the next table were talking about their puppy. So of course I had to go over to them and compare notes since Meadow was a little puppy at the time. We started having playdates with the doggies and we've been friends ever since. So each year we get together in the winter to honor the dogs' birthdays (Kobi's 3 weeks older than Meadow).

We had a delicious meal and a great time hanging out on Saturday night. Donna's a great cook and the boys devoured the apple crisp I made. I always describe Kobi as a dog you would have a crush on, if you were a dog; he's beautiful. And a highlight for Katie was playing with Daniel and Ethan, Kobi's older brothers who were so great with her. I loved the fact that they chose to play with her, they could have secluded themselves in their room but they chose to play soccer and the piano and other things that kept her entertained.
