"Play piano." "Play Ethan"

We had a playdate at Erika's with our friend Ethan on Monday. Katie loves Ethan, especially saying the name. She says it with such pride "EE-Than," as if to say "look, I know you have a name and I like it." We figured this out because our friends Donna and Jon have a son named Ethan too. Their Ethan is 12 though. But we happened to have Ethan's (2) birthday party the morning that we had Ethan's (12) family over for dinner. Katie kept going into her room calling for Ethan to come play with her. For days after, Katie was talking about playing with Ethan. And whenever I mentioned Donna or their dog Kobi, Katie would say Ethan. If we end up with a grandson named Ethan one day, I won't be surprised.

So it wasn't too surprising that all day Tuesday, Katie asked to play with Ethan. And when we went to Erika's house on Wednesday she said, "play piano. Play Ethan." So here are Katie and Ethan playing the piano. Katie loves the real piano.
