A special Chanukah dinner

Mommy, Katie, Danielle, and Lisa - can you tell we're related?

We had a wonderfully special Shabbat/Chanukah dinner on Friday night. My cousin Danielle's Mom Dana was in and we haven't seen her in way too long and we were anxious to catch up with her and have her meet Katie. And our cousin Lisa is back in NYC after a few months doing Shakespeare in DC so she came and then my parents came too. We had such a nice time. I ordered latkas from Artie's that were delicious. I decided that I didn't want the mess or smell in our apartment because once you cook latkas it takes days, if not weeks, to not be able to tell. And Danielle made challah dough which she brought specifically so that Katie could braid it with her. It was so adorable. Here's a picture. They braided it at the Katie's low table so Meadow was very interested too. Sorry Mead (and we're happy to report her tummy is better).
