Swimming class

One of the first things we did was sign Katie up for swimming class. We have a pool in our backyard (very exciting - though it comes with its own set of maintenance issues). Our pool is fenced in, we think it will be better for Katie to know how to swim. She was doing very well with lessons in NYC and while I don't think this is the best swim class she could be in, it is very cute and convenient. Her teacher is "Miss Jenna" and it seems to be a trend around here to call people to Miss So-and-So. They reward kids with M&Ms, which I find a little strange and dog-training-esque. Hadn't quite thought of learning to swim in terms of operant conditioning.

Katie's favorite part of swim class is the end when they can go on the waterslide. Here's a picture of that.
