Katie's friend Julia came over last week. It was after they had Power Kids after school, they were both pretty tired. I did get them to color and play a little before they camped in front of the tv. Here they are drawing at our ersatz kitchen table. Yes we need a kitchen table, but as with other things with the house, this has kind of lost steam along the way... we'll find one eventually. Katie and Julia look kind of similar, they are both tall with long brown hair and big brown eyes. Katie relies on Julia as a close friend in her class which can cause some difficulties. I was talking about this with someone today and I spelled Julia's name only to have Katie say "J-u-l-i-a spells Julia Mommy." So much for spelling so she doesn't know what's going on...

Katie and Julia both take some of the same after school classes now. When I asked Katie what she made in "cook-a-book" she said "a recipe!"
