Happy Chanukah

Tonight is the last night of Chanukah and I would be remiss if I didn't include a picture of Katie and the menorah. She loves to light the candles, but she instead of saying that she'd like to light them, she says, "It's time to blow out the candles." And she doesn't like my singing. My voice was good enough for choruses in high school, college, and grad school, but not good enough for my daughter! "Mommy don't sing!" she says.

And here's picture from tonight. Ania brought us the flowers for Chanukah. Katie told Ania today that "we celebrate Chanukah and you celebrate Christmas." That's about as far as we've gotten for religion - I think that's okay at this age.

Happy Chanukah Sarah! I've got to tell you I'm laughing out loud here because of the "Mommy don't sing!" quote!!! K & O say the same thing -- very adamently -- every single time Braydon or I sing even one line!!! And even though I am no superb singer or anything, Braydon -- like you -- has always been in choruses, got his BA and PhD in music, etc.!! LOL!!!! What a trip these kids are! I think Katie would get along smashingly with K & O. We've got to get them together sometime! :)
