Cousins at Van Saun

After we visited Oma, we went to Van Saun park with Aunt Debbie and Robin. Van Saun is a great little county park with an adorable and well-done zoo. They have animals mainly from the Americas and it's small. They also have a carousel and a train and some great playgrounds. It was a favorite place of mine when I was litttle.

The highlight for Katie and Robin was, of course, being together. We went into the "budgie" enclosure that was filled with parakeets that you could feed. You kind of had the feeling that the parakeets had had it and wanted to sleep - and who could blame them. Robin enjoyed having the budgies on her - their nails are little sharp and having guinea pigs at home, she's used to that. Katie was a little more timid but eventually liked it.
