"I'm not tired!"

Last Wednesday we went to Kevin's playroom in the morning and then Katie had her first ballet class of the summer. She was pretty tired but kept saying, "I'm not tired." So I told her that she should lay in her bed and read some books, which she did. A few minutes later, she'd put herself down for a nap and covered herself with her "cozy blanket" and was completely asleep.

She did this for Peter the other night when he put her to bed too. Katie said she wasn't ready for bed and was going to read some books. "Are you going to turn the lights out when you're ready for bed?" She said yes and she followed through.

I love the little bits of independence Katie's developing.
