Pajama Party

Katie went to her twin friends Katie and Lexie's birthday party last Sunday morning. It was early in the morning and a pajama party. Katie likes Katie and Lexie because they're fun, but also because she and Katie have the same name and Katie and Lexie were also born in New York.

The party was at a place that caters to birthday party with the whole place filled with "bounce houses" (called moon jumps and inflatables elsewhere). The kids go to one room with 4 bounce houses and then 45 minutes later they go to another room full of bounce houses. And then they have cake. Very easy and in between parents can chat. Rarely can they go on the bounce houses themselves, except for some parents went on this huge slide like Peter did because that's the only way their kids would go on it. I imagine that pump it up would be really popular in nyc, if there were enough space for such a place.

A fun thing about this party, for me, is it made me realize how many people I have met already. Turns out the Dallas Jewish community is pretty small and very tight. I thought I wouldn't really know anyone there and then I saw all sorts of people I had met at through other Jewish activities (JCC ballet camp, Federation, preschool) and even another birthday party. It was a nice feeling.
Again, Katie planted herself next to the birthday kids. She's funny.
