Nap Game
As you may have figured out by now, Katie loves playing the "nap game." Here she is last week having a "picnic nap" - meaning she's on the floor not the couch. Notice the pillow under her head. Oma needlepointed that for me when I was about 4, I remember her working on it too. I loved it and even brought it to Brown with me.
We went to see Oma today. On the way to Oma's, we stopped to look at big girl beds. I'm known for getting lost in places I don't know - or even in places I do. My sense of direction is just something we laugh about. Katie found it amusing this morning when we got lost on the way to the furniture place in who-knows-where NJ. I finally found it and was making a left and said, "Katie, we're finally in the right place." "No Mama," Katie says, "we're in the left place." She continued to talk about getting lost for the next hour, including such inspiring comments as "you don't get lost in New York Mommy."
